La Jolla, California – February 4, 2011
Miro Technologies, a leading aftermarket provider of advanced solutions for defense logistics, announced today a contract award from BAE Systems Electronic Solutions (ES) to provide an IT solution that will serve as a total asset visibility (TAV) tool to support Stage 2 performance based logistics (PBL) opportunities. The project will require Miro to deliver an integrated set of applications, functional capabilities and implementation services designed to help BAE Systems ES keep maintenance and inventory costs low and provide the operational support required for the challenging PBL market.
The TAV Tool solution will feature GOLDesp, Miro’s successful COTS application that is widely used to support CLS and PBL programs by major defense contractors and OEMs. Miro will integrate the Servigistics Insight application with GOLDesp to bring real time performance monitoring and in-depth analytics to tie the Planning and Execution areas together into a cohesive view of PBL contracts. The Servigistics Service Parts Management application will also be integrated with GOLDesp to optimize parts inventory in a planned later phase of the implementation.
In addition to these core operational capabilities, Miro’s IT solution will interface with various DoD systems, support an interface to an integration with Enovia, a Product Data Management (PDM) system, and provide restricted access to outside vendors to track repair operation and update repair status.
