Bristol, UK – December 9, 2011 – Miro Technologies, a leading provider of advanced software solutions for aftermarket defence logistics, announced today Boeing Defence UK as the winner of its 2011 Partner of the Year Award. The award recognises the team leadership and excellence demonstrated by Boeing Defence UK in its role as Delivery Partner for the Logistics Network Enabled Capability (LogNEC) programme, a contract previously awarded by the Ministry of Defence.
Jeff Pete’, LogNEC Programme Manager for Boeing Defence UK, accepted the award during a visit to Boeing’s Bristol office in early December by Vincent Monteparte, President & CEO of Miro Technologies.

Miro Technologies serves as a prime subcontractor to Boeing Defence UK in the fulfilment of LogNEC, a programme that assists the MOD in the transformation of its end-to-end logistics chain support and integrates more than 200 software applications used to manage logistics data. Miro will provide software and consulting, development, implementation, and replacement and sustainment of the Base Inventory Management System project (BIMS) for the MOD Air environment. The MOD currently employs Miro’s GOLDesp application to serve as their enterprise and asset management (E&AM) system in support of over 700 aircraft and 400,000 rotable assets across the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and British Army.
