SAN DIEGO, June 30, 2015 – Tapestry Solutions, a non-fully integrated subsidiary of The Boeing Company [NYSE:BA], will provide its maintenance and supply solution, GOLDesp MRO & Supply, to deliver maximum value for Boeing at its new avionics maintenance repair center.
The 10,000 square-foot facility in the Yeongcheon Industry District of Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone will use the GOLDesp software solution to manage repairs, spares and property for the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF). The Tapestry team was able to implement, deploy the solution and train users within a six month timeframe. GOLDesp is currently in production and fully operational repairing Line Replaceable Units (LRUS), which will streamline maintenance operations. The new facility will deploy several modules of GOLDesp, to include Material, Assets, Requisitioning and Work Recording modules to optimize Korean operations.
“GOLDesp will aid Boeing in its endeavor to increase repair and inventory cost savings for the ROKAF’s F-15K fleet,” said Geoffrey Evans President and CEO of the Logistics Information Management Systems division of Boeing. “The strategic location of the Korean maintenance and repair center can potentially provide opportunities to expand GOLDesp to better support other Boeing customers and weapon systems in the region.”
