SAN DIEGO, November 25, 2016 – Tapestry Solutions, a non-fully integrated subsidiary of Boeing [NSYE: BA], will highlight its advanced Mission Command training & simulation solutions at Boeing’s booth No. 1962 at the 2016 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference, Nov. 28- Dec. 2, in Orlando, Fla. As the world’s largest modeling, simulation and training conference, I/ITSEC is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the theme, “Pushing the Training Envelope: Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC).”
Leveraging its core expertise in software development and integration, Tapestry Solutions designs and conducts exercises in integrated LVC environments at major combat training centers, home station and forward-deployed environments. The training exercises enable warfighters to plan and rehearse large-scale, joint and multinational training events as well as small-unit tactical exercises.
“We are proud to showcase Tapestry’s wide range of modeling and simulation solutions that help ensure the highest level of readiness for our men and women in uniform – our mission-critical technologies that give warfighters the skills they need to conquer the Global War on Terrorism, and succeed on current and future battlefields,” said Michael Spencer, vice president of Global Marketing and Sales for Tapestry Solutions.
Tapestry plays a key role for the exercises by managing and fusing data, and combining multiple sensor feeds such as video, audio and positional data. The data is presented during the After Action Reviews (AARs) to capture key lessons learned. Tapestry also provides maintenance, technical and field support at combat training centers and home stations.
At I/ITSEC, Tapestry will demonstrate how these same technologies can be applied in the area of military cybersecurity training, test and experimentation. The Tapestry/Boeing team will demonstrate its virtual cybersecurity training product, called Cyber Range-in-a-Box (CRIAB), which helps military and government agencies protect their networks from cyber attacks. Boeing’s compact hardware/software solution provides tailored virtual environments to help users broaden their skills, identify and address deficiencies in their networks, and respond more quickly to network security threats.
