Miro Technologies announced today that the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) had selected their engineering and asset management (E&AM) software system as the enduring solution for Merlin Mk1 (Navy) and Mk3 (RAF) aircraft. The migration of the first aircraft has already commenced with the program continuing through the remainder of the year.
“We are delighted to be welcoming the Merlin fleets onto our E&AM solution,” said Vincent Monteparte, President & CEO of Miro Technologies. “The expansion of the MoD fleets on WRAM Online, the UK MoD’s bespoke version of our successful GOLDesp commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution, puts us at over 600 aircraft and is just another step in our 17 year relationship with this strategic customer. We are excited to be part of a team providing improvements in aircraft availability for vital components in the UK’s defense force.”
Miro previously announced that the MoD is also moving forward with plans to upgrade their current WRAM Online system to GOLDesp. The migration to GOLDesp will enable the MoD to take advantage of the COTS approach to reduce overall lifecycle program costs and gain access to more of the capabilities of the functionally rich GOLDesp application suite.
